Virtuemart Template Gotcha |

This has bitten me twice, so I thought I'd write it down so I don't forget again. Here's hoping it saves somebody else some headbanging, too...
The Virtuemart configuration screen allows you to set a default "browse template." A browse template is the HTML used to show a list of products, for example all the products in a single category. However, when you create a category, whether you notice it or not, you also specify a default browse template for the category.
So let's say you do as I've done twice and want to change the default template globally... changing it in the Virtuemart configuration screen does not override the category settings, so you can sometimes go crazy trying to figure out why Virtuemart isn't using your new browse template. A word to the wise: Check your category configuration, too.
